# Check a draft against your voice

Use this before a useful draft turns into a pile of marketing phrases.

## Inputs

- The draft
- Two examples you would happily publish
- Words, promises and claims you want to avoid

## Steps

1. Underline the sentences that carry the useful information. Preserve their meaning.
2. Replace vague benefits with a concrete action or example.
3. Read it aloud. Shorten sentences you would not say to a customer.
4. Compare the revision with the supplied examples, then check that no new claim slipped in.

## Output

The revised draft, three explained edits and a list of claims needing verification.

## Review checklist

- It still says what the original meant.
- It sounds like the supplied examples.
- It does not add customers, numbers or promises.

## Example

Before: unlock a seamless growth engine. After: keep your company brief and sample drafts in one workspace, then review what needs changing.
